The swiming Pool Saga

We live in a condo, there happens to be a swimming pool about 60 feet from our place. It just opened. The fun Begins. and never has the name of this blog rang so true in my life than now.

You see my daughters now believe that every waking second they should be swimming in that pool. I guesse their goal this summer is to spend more time in the water than on dry land.

What they don’t realize (and I have put alot of thought into this) is that this could only be accomplished if they were born Mermaids. Which would be very convenient but alas did not happen. I did decide that if we were mermaids I would definitely have the same mermaid name as Daryl Hannah did in Splash how cool would that be?

The Drama starts at about 7 am they wake up and put on there swimming suits before they have done anything else. Than the questions start. “How long till the pool opens?” “When are we going to go swimming?”

I know they are excited, I know it is a new thing to be so close to a pool. But seriously how much drama can I have in one day about a swimming pool???

The answer. Too much!

    >ahh yes, the drama of the pool..
Yes, we have one too in our community.
last week we swam every day.
Now that they have gotten the hang of it, they seem content to Not swim everyday. But it is tough..
    I feel for you.

    >I made the mistake of pointing out that I'd purchased a community center membership and we'd better gosh darn use it. They're trying to help me get my money's worth… I'm sure that's the reason for the nagging…

    >The summer I was pregnant in North Carolina? It was me putting on the suit and getting to the pool as often as possible.

We have the same issue with the beach here. The kids want to be there 24-7.
