New York: Part One

My first post about my trip to New York is going to be all about Broadway!

Seriously musicals are one of my all time favorite things and I constantly wish my life was one, so I was super excited to see some on Broadway. We were able to see three Phenomenal Musicals.Catch Me if You Can: Have you ever seen the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks? Well they took that movie and added amazing music and created a musical. It was wonderful! The leads were stunning and I loved the Dancers. I was not familiar with the music at all but still left the show humming a tune from it, which is always a good sign.

(In this picture I am hoping Mary Poppins will come be my kid’s nanny. We are currently in negotiations.)

Mary Poppins: You can’t go wrong with a classic right? This show had amazing sets! I loved the music, The songs from the movie and also the new ones added. The special affects in this show were spectacular and you gotta Love Bert the chimney sweep. His personality was wonderful. I loved the dance they did to Supercalifragilisticexspialidocious (I wonder why spell check would not help me with that one). The dance to it was so cool,  I want to learn it and perform it in a flash mob some day. I wished my girls were with me for this one. They would have loved it!

(me longing for Daniel Radcliffe, Hopefully my husband does not get too jealous)

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying: I was so excited to see this show and I have to say it was mainly because of who was playing the main leads. Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette!. I hate to admit that I have not seen all of the Harry Potter movies but after seeing him in this show I will be. He was amazing and so cute! His dancing was out standing and I have to say I think He had a great voice. I loved watching him and thought he was right at home in this show. I used to stay up late with my brothers and watch Night Court so I was also excited to see Jon Laroquette. He was also wonderful and acted so well!! This show was a treat! I was also not familiar with this music but loved it all and the women’s dresses were so adorable! I think my face hurt from grinning after this show was over.

I enjoyed all three of these shows so much! I can’t wait to share more about my trip to New York.

* I wrote about these show’s because I loved them! All opinions are my own.

I’m super jealous. I’m going to Mary Poppins in September, though, and cannot wait! I’d love to see Daniel Radcliffe as Peerpont. It’s such a goofy show. I didn’t know they’d turned Catch Me If You Can into a musical. Cool!

What fun. I actually saw Mary Poppins in NYC. I agree, it was fabulous. This makes me want to go back. I can’t wait to read more.

I saw the Catch Me if You Can movie and it was great. I didn’t know they turned it into a musical. Seems like a fun trip, I hope one day I get to go.
