I am A huge fan of local places I can take my kids to. With four kids now I have felt more cooped up then I ever have. It was such a treat a few weeks ago to be able to go the Natural History Museum of Utah for the first time and explore. It is amazing! It is gigantic and beautiful and fascinating all rolled into one! It was seriously as nice as museums I have visited in New York and I LOVED all of the things it offers for kids. While squeak chilled in her stroller Squeal and I had a blast exploring all of the exhibits.
There was so much to see and do! My pictures don’t even do it justice. I love all of the things that kids can do and they even offer interactive activities and programs for kids. They have a program called The Chickadee Society, It is for preschool children and is held the fourth thursday of every month at 10:30 am it includes read aloud stories and hands on activities.
Other programs that look amazing are the Bug Brigade and Utah Animals. Squeal was not to sure of the frog she met and did not want to get too close but was fascinated none the less. Also, all of these events are covered in your admission.
They even have an event where you and your family can sleep over at the museum! That would be so much fun my older daughters would love that so so much.
I truly was so impressed with the museum and cannot wait to go back.
