Opened Packages

When certain items are on sale at the grocery store I like to buy a bunch. One of these items happens to be Goldfish crackers. My girls love them and sometimes I can get 10 for 10 dollars! I buy an assortment of flavors and they ooh and aaaaw over them when I come home from the store.

The one thing I stress over and over again is that we are only going to open one package at a time. I always say to them ” You can open a new flavor as soon as the previous flavor is eaten.” Easy enough right? Wrong.

They end up sneaking around without me knowing it and open one after another. All of the crackers end up tasting all stale and air conditioned. Lovely.

I don’t mean to get all deep on you, but it really made me think about my life as a mom. I have all of these opened packages everywhere! Laundry, dishes, Bills, My kid’s needs. Not one thing can be completed before I start on the next thing because those jobs are never entirely done. There are always many new packages being opened. The already opened packages always have stuff in them!

Is there any solution? Probably not, but at least I can be philosophical while I gripe about things that annoy me. that’s definitely a plus.

*No this is not a sponsored post from Goldfish crackers my kid’s just happen to love them.

Maybe you can put them in a tupperware so that they stay fresh after being opened.

yesterday I pulled 3 partially eaten containers of applesauce out of the refrigerator to go with dinner. Just handed them with a spoon to the oldest boys. This to follow up the lunch where I finished off 2 nearly empty PB jars…

so yeah, I know your pain… pardon me while I run to combine the two boxes of cornflakes :)
