The winner of my UTA round trip pass for August is Megan B. Congrats

You can buy tickets here. I would love to see you there! (My Brother is the guy with the hat in the middle in the poster below he rocks!)
New Mid Jordan TRAX Line
My Husband has always been a huge fan of public transportation. We only have one car so to have me be able to drive the kids to school during the day, he takes the bus to work and whenever we are going somewhere that TRAX can take us to we frequently do.
So when I got the chance to take my family on the first public ride of the new Mid Jordan TRAX line we took it.
My girls right away loved their goody bags that had adorable train hats and whistles in them. The signs and treats were also cute and made the ride that much more enjoyable. I also liked that safety rules were addressed right away such as to always be alert and to cross the track only at designated crossings
The new trax train we rode in was really nice. Very roomy. My girls were very comfortable and loved watching out the big window when they were not fighting about which flavor of taffy in there goody bag was the best of course . (There is always drama about something)
The Mid Jordan line runs from a station across the street from Historic Gardner Village to Daybreak. Since there is so many fun things opening up at Daybreak I now love the option to be able to take TRAX.
The Mid Jordan line will officially open to the public on Aug 7th. On August 3rd before the official public opening UTA is having a “Let food be your Fare” day where you are encouraged to bring a can of food for the Utah food bank to ride the new Mid Jordan Red line and West Valley green line at one of the new stations of trax for free. There will be activities throughout the stations on these new lines as well. That sounds like a lot of fun to me.
To be up to date on all of UTA’s latest news check out their Face Book Page.
I also have a free trax pass good for up to 4 people for one round trip good for all forms of UTA transit during the month of August up for grabs. (Children 6 and under ride free) If you are interested please comment below. I will choose a random comment on Friday July 29th and I will mail it out quick so you can put it to good use.

Summer
Summer gets pretty boring fast if you don’t do anything about it. So I at least did something fun with the Screamettes on the first day of summer. Too bad I set the precedence way too high by taking them to Cowabunga Bay.
This is seriously one of the funnest places in Utah.
The thing I love most about this water park is it’s size. It is the perfect size for little kid’s, not too big that you lose them right when you get in the park. Read the rest of this entry »
Rodizio Grill
About 15 years ago I remember my brother coming home from his LDS mission in Brazil. He had heard of this amazing restaurant, Rodizio Grill that had food that was identical to the food he ate in Brazil which, in his opinion was the best food in the world. We all went and ate there as a family. I remember the amazing taste of the grilled pineapple like it was yesterday!
Rodizio Grill is a wonderful Brazilian Steakhouse. On Monday May 23rd there will be a special price to guests who mention my blog or twitter name Livingthescream. The discount offered is a four course meal with dessert included for only $19.99. What a great date night that would be!
This offer is only valid at the Salt Lake City Location of Rodizio grill on May 23rd.
Who wouldn’t want to be served by a Rodizio Gaucho?
*This is a sponsored post. All opinions about unforgettable grilled pineapple are my own.
Ruby Snap
I love to visit local businesses. There is nothing better than trying something unique and original. That is why I was so happy to attend a bloggers event sponsored by I heart Salt lake at the cookie bakery RubySnap. To say the cookies were good is a huge understatement. They were amazing and so different.
The ingredients used are fresh and from around the world. These cookies are just the right consistency and so delicious that I am dreaming of one right now.
I love how Rubysnap displays the cookies. Each cookie has an adorable name with a really cute vintage pinup girl photo representing the cookie. So you can put a face with a cookie so to speak.
Before I visited RubySnap I was looking at their cute website with my girls. Shriek had so much fun reading the cookie flavors and telling me which one sounded the best. They all sound amazing!
I tried all the flavors. just so I could distinctly state my favorite (I am that dedicated). I could not narrow it down to just one but I loved the Lilly, Judy and the Ricki. The Lilly is a lemon sugar cookie with lemon heads and a lemon glaze. What is not to love about that?
I also loved listening to Tami the owner talk about her business. She was so inspiring. I really enjoyed how she talked about this being her Happiness project. She believes in what she does and loves how much joy her cookies bring to people.
Me and Tami, the owner of RubySnap
The best news is you don’t have to live in Utah to try Rubysnap cookies. Visit the online store that can ship baked cookies or the cookie dough to anywhere in the U.S Or Canada.
There is not many things in life that are better than mingling with other bloggers and eating a bunch of cookies so a big Thanks goes to I heart Salt Lake and RubySnap for such a fun night.
